Hotel Sentral Kuala Lumpur at KL Sentral Station

It was cheap

The room was not what I expected. It was small and the bathroom had not been cleaned thoroughly. I woukd not stay here again. In fact I had booked it for 3 nights originally since it had a high score and it was convenient since my train got in at 2 am. HOWEVER, after staying the first night I immediately booked the Muntri Grove and it was like night and day. My stay at KL Sentral was non refundable but I did not care. The hotel is also on a main strip so you hear motorcycles and car horns all night. It was giving twilight zone meets section 8.

Location is very good

The check-in process takes a long time, have to wait for hours, check-in at 3pm is very late, it should be at 2pm.Room cleaning is not satisfactory. There are no towels and foot mat in the room, but they are given when asked.

I didn't like anything

I recently stayed at Hotel Sentral KL and unfortunately the experience was below expectations. For the price they charge, the amenities and overall room conditions really need improvement.The room had a persistent unpleasant smell as soon as I entered, which made the stay uncomfortable. The walls haven’t been painted or maintained for a long time — there were visible stains and marks everywhere. Even basic amenities like floor mats were missing, and despite requesting multiple times, they were never provided.The mattress was extremely hard and caused significant back pain. It was so uncomfortable that I eventually had to sleep on the floor just to get some rest. Water bottles were not provided either, which was surprising for a hotel of this category.Overall, the stay did not match the price paid. The hotel needs to improve cleanliness, room maintenance, and basic guest comfort before charging such rates. I hope management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

The hotel is quite good, although it's a little bit small, we just stayed there for 5hrs transit to KL sentral (wish I stayed there longer) because of the ets railway breakdown..

Attitude: There's one front office staff that acted as if I was not there.. I wait for so long in front of her but not a single word was said. Before that when I tried to check in she said not 3.00 pm yet.. that's ok my bad.. but when the time came I stood in front of her.. no action, just keep on her worked, until a real front office staff came in.. then I only know, she was a 'ghost'. ???. Really???

Location was right with lots of Indian Vegetarian restaurants.

The health faucets in the toilets did not have any handle. Also the cistern was not clean

This place is budget friendly and very near the train station. It's convenient because there's so much food around area you can choose. It's good for just staying a night waiting for your next flight or going to another spot or you're on a budget.

The only thing is there staff is slow specially if you haven't booked ahead of time. You have to wait more than an hour to be accommodated. Also, looks like an old building so don't expect too much for it.

reasonable with price

in the booking page, I choose room with window. However, when I send email to remind "room with window", but the replied email only states that depend on the availability of rooms at arrival time.

Their breakfast is the worst I have ever had amongst all the hotels I have stayed in. The breakfast choice was very limited and all the food was cold and had a bad taste. My room was extremely small and the lighting was very poor. I had no hot water in the shower and had to go down to the lobby to complain since there was no phone in my room.

Always like this hotel because of it's near KL Sentral. Nice breakfast and the location is main reason choosing this hotel.

Ac was not working, washroom exhaust fan is not working , shower glass door was about to fall and the room was soo dirty

Only good part is the location - next to KL Sentral station, and lot of restaurants around.

Room was too small. Nothing compared to pic they show on website.With twin bed, all switches and one plug socket got hidden behind the bed. Inconvenient.Worn-out furniture.TV doesn't work and WIFI is patchy...

Location is superb. You get out of KL Sentral station by going one floor above to NU Sentral Mall and getting down through the other side of the passageway to the monorail station, crossing a street, and you reach the hotel. You have everything at stone's throw, restaurants, 7/11, and the stores are open till late at night.The arrangement of hot and cold drinking water on each floor was very convenient.The staff in the breakfast room were very efficient. They were attending to every requirement of the guests and refilled promptly. Breakfast choices were limited, but the food was good.

The rooms were quite small, even compared to the KL city standard. We booked a family room, but there was hardly enough space in the room to walk. If you have a lot of luggage, then the whole room becomes non-navigable. The toilet is another big concern; the door didn't lock properly. It was so tiny that you would feel claustrophobic.

Location of hotel though, was excellent. Nearby LRT, shopping complex, cafes and restaurants.

The carpets were worn out and dusty. Air conditioners were old, not cold. Had to request for a room change. Room door was creaky and old. Room lightings were poor. Lift was working, some buttons were covered with duct tape, nothing a duct tape couldn't fix.

It’s not quiet by chatting on next room, aisle and train station.

They gave me a room with window while my booking was for a windowless room, so they gave me an upgrade. Location is excellent and room was clean.

The breakfast was good value, the location was very convenient.

You get what you pay for I have stayed here previously.

Hotel Sentral is in a great position for accessing central public transport. I chose it because it was next to KL Sentral, which is where the express train to the airport departs from.The staff were kind and helpful.The shower was great.

The air con did not work very well. It was already set to its lowest setting when I arrived. But the room remained too warm. I slept on top of the sheets to try to stay cool. Disappointing.
